Remember me? Probably not. I dropped off the face of the earth for a while and I realised I never made a post letting you know where I was off to and why I wouldn't be posting. So today I thought I'd explain why it's been a whopping four months (oops) since my last post.

The original reason I neglected my blog is because I was in the void of doom that is GCSE exams. With 28 exams in a handful of weeks, I decided blogging was a distraction I needed to get rid of for a bit. Thankfully I got through them without any major disasters and now just await my results. Dun dun dun.*

After exams were finished I had a couple of weeks to revel in the joy of being able to do absolutely nothing except watch Gossip Girl (...and Supernatural, Pretty Little Liars, The Walking Dead, American Horror Story...). Utter bliss.

Then I took part in NCS. I'm sure lots of you have heard of it but if not it's a four week long project that involves two residential trips to do various outdoor activities and team building stuff. This is followed by two weeks of organising a project to benefit the community in a way - my group organised a fete and raised £900 for a mental health charity called Youngminds. I urge anyone who's considering it to give it a go because it's an amazing experience, you meet new people, do something for the community and it looks wicked on your CV.

After NCS I went on holiday - woo! I'll be back by the time this post goes up but I am currently typing this to the sound of the sea from a villa in the south of Spain (post coming soon!).

Observations about Spain so far...

  • The weather is lush
  • Having parrots as pets in resturants is a thing
  • The sea is freezing, don't be fooled by the gorgeous weather
  • The sunsets look like the gradient fill options on word art (see the picture above)
  • The Spanish like Lidl
  • One week here is not enough.

So as you can see I've been a wee bit busy recently which is why I've neglected my poor blog, please forgive me. But, as of now, I'm back and (hopefully) posting twice a week like before.

Thanks for reading, Lucy x

*Since writing this I got my results: 5 A*s, 6 As and 1 B. Very chuffed!
