You'll know if you read this post that my first foray into the world of Colourpop was only in August but I instantly fell in love and have since made two more orders (oops).

Obviously I took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer on liquid lipsticks and picked up three of the Ultra Satin Lips. Now, I'm a big fan of a matte liquid lipsticks but even the best formulas can be seriously drying so these sounded like a good compromise. They've got a light texture that easily glides on and dries to an almost-matte finish. They're not super matte or completely transfer-proof like a regular liquid lip but they last pretty much all day and aren't drying in the slightest so are way more comfortable. I knew I definitely wanted an everyday nude and after flicking back and forth between several different shades I finally decided on Strip - a warm, brown-toned pale nude. I also got Frick 'n' Frack, a mid-toned rosy brown, and Toolips, a dark purple.

I also picked up four pressed eyeshadows. The formula of these is great and at $5 a pop I couldn't resist the shade selection. If you know me you'll know these colours aren't what I usually go for but recently I've been branching out into more ~adventurous~ eyeshadow shades. What can I say I'm wild. Team Captain is a matte olive green that looks sick all over the lid with Paper Tiger, a mustard yellow, blended in the crease. I also got Backseat because I wear a lot of warm, orangey eyeshadow which would look super cool with a metallic royal blue because, like, complimentary colours and stuff. Finally, I picked up High Strung which is a metallic dusty rose because I couldn't resist buying at least one neutral eyeshadow. This is the kind of shade you can whack all over the lid and blend out for the laziest eyeshadow ever.

I'm still fairly new to Colourpop but am yet to be disappointed so you'll definitely be seeing more of it on this blog. I'll admit, ordering from the US site is a bit of a faff but the affordability and quality of the products make it 100% worth it for me.

Thanks for reading, Lucy x
