MY 'GOING OUT-OUT' MAKEUP

Sometimes there's nothing I want to do more than sit in my pyjamas, eat a fat Indian takeaway and watch Friends with my cat. Other times I want to dress up, get horrifically drunk, dance to some very loud music, and stumble home at 4am with my shoes in one hand and some cheesy chips in the other. Today I'm talking about my favourite makeup products for those kind of nights.

I like a fairly full coverage base for a night out but, being a dry boi, I have to be careful my face doesn't become a cakey, flakey mess. The Too Faced Born This Way Foundation is the best of both worlds because it's got buildable, medium coverage but has a very natural, skin-like and glowy finish. It also lasts really well through hours of dancing, sweating and kebab eating but I'll usually spritz on some Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray anyway just to be safe.

You probably know by now that I like an intense highlight but I take it to the next level on a night out. The Colourpop Luster Dust in Gnomie is a loose highlighter in a rosy, champagne shade that is SERIOUSLY blinding. You can really build it up so it's glittery, shiny and almost wet-looking. I also like to lightly dust it over my collar bones and shoulders for an all-over sparkle.

For eyes, I'll always whack on some Urban Decay Primer Potion as a base to keep everything in place all night. I love using the deeper tones in the Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette for a pinky, plummy, grungey smokey eye that's dramatic but not quite as intense as black or grey. Speaking of intense, the Stila Glitter and Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in Kitten Karma might be one of my favourite products EVER. I can't even describe to you how beautiful this eyeshadow is, it's one of those things you just have to see in person and then thank me. It's ridiculously easy to use - you can do a cut crease in seconds - and has the most glittery, metallic, stunning finish.

If I want to wear a bold lip, I need something that is practically bulletproof that will stay put no matter how many VKs I have. My favourites are the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks - they're opaque in one thin layer, last for hours and are pretty comfortable (or as comfortable as a matte liquid lipstick can be). Or, for a more natural look, you can't go wrong with a gloss and you already know the Fenty Gloss Bomb in Fenty Glow is my all time favourite for any occasion.

Finally, it's not a night out without some fake lashes. I am a big fan of the Ardell Demi Wispies but I'm also loving the Eyelure Texture 152 at the moment. And I swear by the Duo Lash Glue to keep them in place all night long.
